What’s New in Robot Ninja: Support for WooCommerce Stripe 4.0

Exciting news here at Robot Ninja! Our first product announcement: We’ve added support for the new payment forms in WooCommerce Stripe 4.0.

WooCommerce Stripe 4.0 was shipped last week and includes lots of great new features that make it easier to work with WooCommerce and Stripe.

One of the release’s major features is a new and fully PCI-compliant credit card form. The form uses Stripe’s new Elements feature, which creates and displays the form entirely via Stripe. This means the form is fully PCI compliant and any credit card information is sent directly to Stripe without interacting with your WooCommerce store.

Support for Stripe’s New Credit Card Form

To help you make the most of the new 4.0 payment gateway features, we’ve updated Robot Ninja accordingly.

So the next time you test your WooCommerce store you’ll find support for:

  • Legacy fields in Stripe Gateway 3.x (and below)
  • Stripe Checkout (3.x+)
  • New stripe hosted fields (4.x+)
  • New inline stripe hosted fields (4.x+)

Here’s what it all looks like in action when filling in new iframe fields:

And here’s another demo so you can see what it looks like when filling in the new inline form:

We’re still investigating support for some of the new European and non-U.S. gateways that Stripe supports as “Sources.” We hope to have an update on that in the coming weeks.
